Street Jennie Mae Street, 94, formerly of Heaton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, died Friday, June 30, 2000, at Roan Highlands Nursing Home following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late John and Callie Louvenia Denny Street. She was a member of Roan Mountain Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ms. Street was a homemaker. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Elewese and Cecil Street, Hickory, N.C.; Inese and Stanley Morris, Marble Mount, Wash.; and Karen Dellinger, Tuscon, Ariz.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, J.R. Street, Ft. Worth, Texas; and Dillard and Beulah Street, Roan Mountain; 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. STREET -- Funeral services for Jennie Mae Street, 94, formerly of Heaton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, Tenn., who died Friday, June 30, 2000, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain, with Chaplain David Arnett, Pastor Kurt Styron, and Mr. Jim Griffitts, administrator, officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Street granddaughters. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Ralph McKinney, Raymond Stout, Kevin Holtsclaw, Greg Holtsclaw, Richard Shell, Jim Smith, and Michael "Pete" Holtsclaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer Haynes, Randy Rouse, Lanny Berry, Zeb Honeycutt, and Jim Griffitts.
