Street Mrs. Vada Stout Street, 90, a resident of Ivy Hall Nursing Home, Elizabethton, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Street was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and the daughter of the late Nat and Lena Lewis Stout. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Street; a daughter, Betty Evans; a brother, John Stout; and two sisters, Lonnie Harvey and Virgie Smith. Mrs. Street retired from Parks-Belk after many years of service at the Elizabethton store. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Davis of Elizabethton; a son, Carl Street of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Nidiffer of Elizabethton, and Mrs. Ruth Davis of Panama City, Fla.; a brother, Harlan Stout of Elizabethton; nine grandchildren, Mrs. Melissa Moreland and Ms. Theresa Davis, both of Elizabethton, Michael Davis of Unicoi, Ron Davis of Nashville, Drake Evans of Greensboro, N.C., Paige Evans of Johnson City, Michael, Andrew and Leslie Street, all of Charlotte, N.C.; seven great grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Bernice Davis, Barbara Moreland and Rozella Hardin. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. STREET -- Funeral services for Mrs. Vada Stout Street, 90, of Ivy Hall Nursing Home, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, July 5, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Larry Wade officiating. Music will be provided by Joel Street. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 8, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Elmer Carter officiating. Active pallbearers will be grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be her Church Family and Victor and Judy Deloach and the Staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her daughter, Peggy Davis, 610 Race Street, No. 6, Elizabethton. To those who prefer, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Street to the Foyer Furnishing Fund of First Free Will Baptist Church, 706 First Street, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
