Ronda Street The Rev. Ronda Street, 76, 106 Old Highway 19E, Hampton, died Wednesday, October 17, 2001, at his residence. Rev. Street was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Taylor and Mary Street. He was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Rev. Street was a Free Will Baptist Minister, having pastored several churches in the area. He was also a retired barber, having operated Street's Barber Shop for a number of years. He was a member of the Jack's Creek Free Will Baptist Association and a member of Sunset Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mina Hyder Street; two daughters and a son-in-law, Shelia and Bill Breedlove and Hilda Graham, all of Hampton; a sister and brother-in-law, Vernishia and Omar Simerly, Gray; a granddaughter, Julie Ann Breedlove, Hampton; and a grandson, Joseph Breedlove, Hampton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. STREET -- Funeral services for the Rev. Ronda Street, 76, 106 Old Highway 19E, Hampton, who died Wednesday, October 17, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, October 18, from Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. D.C. Byrd and the Rev. Billy Morgan officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Jo Kerley. Interment will be private. Active pallbearers will be Wade Tolley, Bill Breedlove, Joseph Breedlove, Jimmy Orr, Shannon Morton and Kevin Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be Carmon Simerly, Nelson Morgan, Claude Morton, Nathan Woodby, Len Wright, John Whitehead, Odell Guinn, Herman Honeycutt Jr., Willard Elliott and Ministers of the Jack's Creek Free Will Baptist Association. A Presentation of the Christian Flag will be presented following the funeral service by Ministers of the Jack's Creek Association. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
