CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Linda Emeline Street, 10 Jan 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Linda E. Street Mrs. Linda Emeline Street, 95, 443 Sally Cove Creek Road, Hampton, died Friday, January 10, 2003, at Pine Ridge Care Center. Mrs. Street was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Taylor and Addie Byrd Cochran. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Street, and by eight sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Street was a member of Sally Cove Creek Community Church. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia Cates and Pauline and Fate Whitehead, all of Hampton; three sons and daughters- in-law, Paul and Fredia Street, Elizabethton, Ronald and Aileen Street, Roan Mountain, and Jerome and Jackie Street, Hampton; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Billy Cochran; a special friend and caretaker, Kim Miller; and a special friend, the Rev. Shae Waters. Several other nephews and nieces also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. STREET -- Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Emeline Street, 95, 443 Sally Cove Creek Road, Hampton, who died Friday, January 10, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, January 12, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terry Jones, the Rev. L.D. Berry and the Rev. Bernie Jones officiating. Music will be provided by the Carr Family. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 13, in the Gouge-Simerly Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Monday, will be Wayne Whittemore, Gary Simerly, Harold Chambers, David Whitehead, Bob Sneyd, Wayne Cates, Kenny Brammell, Randy Colbaugh, Gary Hopson and Patrick Hammel. Honorary pallbearers will be Harlen Simerly, Donnie Chambers, Nickey Simerly, Albert Ellison, Charles Ingram, Roy Hyder, Steve Rainbolt, Jeff Trivette, Junior Whittemore, Mike Street, Kenneth Whittemore, George Collins and Bill Street. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son and daughter- in-law, Jerome and Jackie Street, 471 Sally Cove Creek Road, Hampton.
