Taylor Mr. Frank William Taylor, 95, 1044 Gap Creek Road, Elizabethton, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, in James H. Quillen V.A. Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Elizabethton, he was the son of the late Thomas and Julie Loveless Taylor. He attended True Gospel Baptist Church and he was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy C. Nave Taylor; three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Della Sue Richard, Calimesa, Calif.; two granddaughters, Ava Suzette Himes, Elizabethton, and Lisa Richard, Wisconsin; two grandsons, Steven Frank Sims, Elizabethton, and Craig Richard, California. Twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service for Mr. Frank William Taylor will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2007, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, with Minister Gregory Scott Hayes officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. James Taylor, soloist. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by the Captain Lynn H. Folsom V.F.W. Post #2166. Active pallbearers will be James Himes, Steve Sims, Adam Sims, Wayne Sims, Scott Hayes and Bill Dolan. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of the James H. Quillen V.A. Hospital. The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. on Monday prior to the funeral service, or at the residence of his granddaughter, 181 Short Coal Chute Road, Elizabethton, at other times.
