Turner Jacqueleen G. Turner, 76, formerly of 104 Old Siam Road, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Turner was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Herb and Mae Wilson Guinn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Turner, a son, Freddie Lee Turner, four brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Turner was a member of East Side Christian Church and retired from American Air Filter. She was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie R. and Amelia Turner, Hampton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Hank Jenkins and Susan and Sam Willis, all of Elizabethton; nine grandchildren, Andrew Jenkins and wife Heather, Randall Jenkins, Daniel Jenkins, Kyle Jenkins, R.C. Willis, Joshua Turner, Misty Turner, Sheri Perkins and husband Farrell and Eric Davis and wife Donna; five great-grandchildren, Sierra Perkins, Phillip Davis, Devin Davis, Brandon Davis and special great-granddaughter, Chelsea Jenkins; and two sisters, June Lewis, Elizabethton, and Esther Estep, Hampton. Several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Turner will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Mr. John Smith, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Peggy Cole. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. Friends may also call at the home of her daughter, Donna Jenkins, 124 Ross Jenkins Circle (Valley Forge) or the home of her son, Lonnie R. Turner, 110 Piney Grove Road, Hampton, at other times. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Jenkins, Cecil McNeal, Dick Oatman, Wes Holtsclaw, Bill Jenkins, Alfred Fair, Bob Morton and her nephews. A special thank you is extended from the family to the staff of Hillview Health Center and to the doctors and third floor nurses of Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
