Taylor 11/19/99 David Martin Taylor, 83, 219 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., died Thursday, November 18, 1999, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. Mr. Taylor was a native of Carter County and a son of the late John H. and Lillie Arrowood Taylor, formerly of Rock House Road, Johnson City. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Stokes M. Taylor (WWII), James R. Taylor (WWII), Jack Lee Taylor, Robert C. Taylor, USAF Ret., and Ben W. Taylor. Mr. Taylor had lived in New York since 1944. He served in the European Theater during World War II. He attended the First Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie and was a member of the V.F.W. Honor Guard. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Gotthardt Taylor, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; a son, James R. Taylor, Chicokee, Mass.; a daughter, Bonnie Marie Yacobucci, Clinton, Conn.; a brother, Clyde A. Taylor, U.S. Army Ret., Augusta, Ga.; and a sister, Bonnie Kate Taylor Hicks, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
