Taylor 06/28/99 Nora G. Taylor, 79, formerly of Rt. 5, Elizabethton, died Friday, June 25, 1999, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. Mrs. Taylor was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Roy C. and Jettie Elliott Grindstaff. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert T. Taylor, August 11, 1978, and three brothers, Howard, Elwood and Glenn Grindstaff. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Moore's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and a member of the Sycamore Chapter #163 Order of Eastern Star. She was a former member of the Carter County Equalization Board. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy H. and Brenda Taylor, Elizabethton, and Howard S. and Brenda K. Taylor, Greensboro, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Cheri Cox, Joy Woods and Jennifer Greene, all of Elizabethton, David Taylor, Clinton Taylor and Katrina Brown, Greensboro, N.C., and Denise Hamm, Winston-Salem, N.C.; and a sister-in- law, Zella Grindstaff, Elizabethton. Nine great-grandchildren also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. TAYLOR -- Funeral services for Nora G. Taylor, 79, formerly of Rt. 5, Elizabethton, who went home to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. O.P. Stokes and Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff officiating. Music will be under the direction of granddaughters, Cheri Cox and Jennifer Greene. Interment will follow at Grindstaff- Taylor Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will Staff, Management and Caregivers of Ivy Hall Nursing Home, friends and neighbors. The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son, Roy H. Taylor, 188 Panhandle Road, Elizabethton, any time.
