Taylor 1/05/00 Virgie M. Taylor, 89, Life Care Center of Elizabethton, formerly of 117 Jim Deal Road, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, January 4, 2000, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Taylor was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Edward and Easter Lowe Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence George Taylor, January 19, 1990, three brothers and a sister Mrs. Taylor was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Etta M. and Robert D. Blevins and Viola and Charles February, all of Elizabethton, and a sister, Tankie Mae Davis, Johnson City. Four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Taylor, 89, Life Care Center of Elizabethton, formerly of 117 Jim Deal Road, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Ernest Garland officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Memorial contributions honoring Mrs. Taylor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program-F, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
