Taylor Mrs. Beulah N. "Jeep" Taylor, 74, 119 Rufus Taylor Road, Elizabethton, died Saturday, August 12, 2000, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a sudden illness. Mrs. Taylor was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Lottie Anna Oliver Berry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Carroll Taylor, in 1992, and by three brothers and a sister. Mrs. Taylor was a retired secretary in the Superintendent's Office of the Carter County School System. She was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church, where she was active in the WMU, and was also a member of the Hunter Home Demonstration Club and the Elizabethton Senior Citizens. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rufus C. "Butch" and Linda Taylor, Boulder, Colo., and three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Kenneth Oliver, Birmingham, Ala., Betty Leech, Birmingham, Ala., and Linda and John Dowdy, Union, W.Va. Ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. "Jeep" Taylor, 74, 119 Rufus Taylor Road, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, August 12, 2000, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, at Hunter First Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Deese officiating. Music will be by the church. A private service of entombment for the cremains will be held at Happy Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Hunter First Baptist Church, 693 Highway 91, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643, or the Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center, 428 East "G" Street, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.
