Taylor Mrs. Mary Ann Taylor, 91, 138 Hubbard Drive, Elizabethton, died Sunday, January 21, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Taylor was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late John and Annie Walker Fair. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Thomas Taylor, in 1979, and by four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Dean Hill and Janice Sartain, both of Johnson City, Maxine Taylor, Elizabethton, and Patricia Hughes, Schererville, Ind.; a son, Lloyd Taylor, Schererville, Ind.; and three sisters, Kathleen Hart and Effie Joines, both of Elizabethton, and Ruth Herikle of Georgia. Nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. Kenneth Kyker officiating. Music will be under the direction of David Arney, organist. Graveside services and interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and Charlie Draper. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Big Springs Baptist Church. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
