CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Mary Juanita Taylor, 21 Jan 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Mrs. Mary Juanita Taylor, 84, S. Lynn Avenue, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Lillian Wilburn Duffield. She was a homemaker and a member of Phillippi Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Taylor, April 11, 1991 and four brothers, Ross Duffield, Herman Duffield, Nathaniel Duffield and Donald Duffield. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Freda T. Wilson, Johnson City; Regina T. and Paul Goins, and Barbara T. and William Odem, all of Bristol, Va.; four sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Dora Taylor, Layton, Utah; John and Theressa Taylor, Bristol, Tenn.; Sidney Taylor and Earl Taylor, both of Ogden, Utah; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a special friend, Maria Regalado, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Juanita Taylor will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2004 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Rev. C. Danny Johnson, Elder James Reddick and Rev. Jeanette Clark officiating. Music will be under the direction of Loretta Bowers Newton, soloist. Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2004 in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
