CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Irene Elise Taylor, 7 Feb 2005

Mrs. Irene Elise Taylor, 89, formerly of Riggs Road, Watauga, died Monday,
February 7, 2005, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Taylor was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Edward
and Ora Little Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, James Taylor, in 1983, a son, Windell Taylor, a great-grandson,
Gary Paul Brodeur, in 1999, and by two brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy Jo and Gary Burgess,
Watauga, and Jerrie Ann and Bill Watson, Pensacola, Fla.; three sons and two
daughters-in-law, Jack L. and Fran Taylor, Fredrick, Md., Charles L. and
Charlotte Taylor, Jacksonville, Fla., and Gary E. Taylor, Fredrick, Md.; a
brother, Conley Lewis, Blountville; and a sister, Pauline Cooper, Pensacola,
Fla. Seventeen grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren also survive.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday, February 10, at Patton-
Simmons Cemetery with Rev. Eric Eggers officiating. Online condolences may be
