Tolley 02/18/99 Mack C. Tolley, 71, 214 Simerly Creek Road, Hampton, died Tuesday, February 16, 1999, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Tolley was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Charlie M. and Lockie Hilmon Tolley. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Julius Tolley. Mr. Tolley was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended the Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include six sisters and three brothers-in-law, Geneva and Howard Roberts, Leafie Payne and Sherlene Davis, all of Hampton, Mahala and M.B. Hampton, Melvery, Ga., Alpha and Bill Tipton, Roan Mountain, and Darlie Hyder, Johnson City; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jack and Sammie Tolley, Herman and Shonette Tolley and Wade Tolley, all of Hampton; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; a special cousin, Thelma Hite, Elizabethton; and his special friends, Patricia Collins and Jack and Arnold Street. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. TOLLEY -- Funeral services for Mack C. Tolley, 71, 214 Simerly Creek Road, Hampton, who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronda Street officiating. Bob and Pat Ray will provide the music. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Street, Arnold Street, Albert Simerly, Leonard Hyder, Bill Ingram, Keith Ingram and Byrd Deadrick. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a brother, Wade Tolley, Simerly Creek Road, Hampton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
