Dwight Treadway 04/09/99 H. Dwight "Red" Treadway, 77, 113 Dakota Avenue, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at his residence. Mr. Treadway was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Ben F. and Lillie Nave Treadway. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Hyder Treadway, in 1996, and by three sisters and three brothers. Mr. Treadway was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation and Interstate Life Insurance Company and was a member of Central Baptist Church, Johnson City. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include a son, Dwight Treadway II, Elizabethton; three daughters, Judy Hodge and Terri Knapp, both of Johnson City, and Robin Thomas, Jonesborough; and three brothers, Charles Treadway, Elizabethton, Lawrence Treadway of Oregon, and Ben Treadway, Johnson City. Eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. TREADWAY -- Funeral services for H. Dwight "Red" Treadway, 77, 113 Dakota Avenue, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Ronald F. Murray and Rev. John Perkins officiating. Music will be provided by Melody Sparks, pianist. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, will be Greg McCracken, Scott Lonon, Bill Hodge, Ken Dugger, J.M. Gouge and John Eggler. Honorary pallbearers will be John Thomas, Benny Treadway, Charles Treadway and R.L. Hurt. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
