Trivett 03/10/99 Maude L. Trivett, 81, 214 Third Avenue, Hampton, died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Trivett was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Eli Trivett Sr. and Bertha Brumitt Trivett. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Nell Melanson, and a brother, Elbert Roy Trivett. Mrs. Trivett attended the Hampton Christian Church. She was a retired employee of Bemberg Industries. Survivors include a daughter, Ethel Marie Trivett, of the home; four sisters, Ella Mae Gee, Olive Hill, Ky., Margaret Smith, Tampa, Fla., Frances Shelton, Elizabethton, and Patsy Jo Yates, Springfield, Va.; two brothers, C.B. Trivett, Elizabethton, and Eli "Sonny" Trivett Jr., Thomson, Ga.; and a grandson, Jeremy Wayne Heaton, of the home. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. TRIVETT -- Funeral services for Maude L. Trivett, 81, 214 Third Avenue, Hampton, who died Monday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Ron Owens officiating. Music will be under the direction of Harol Smith and Bob Moore. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter, Ethel Marie Trivett, 214 Third Avenue, Hampton, any time. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. [Genealogy Note - Mike DeLoach] Eli George Trivett was the son of John Trivett and Mary Ellen "Polly" Yelton. He was the grandson of Samuel Trivett and Rebecca Norris.
