Carson G. Trivette, 89, Big Dry Run Road, Mountain City, passed away on
Sunday, March 20, 2005, at his residence.

A native of Avery County, N.C., he was born on March 1, 1916 to the late
Dudley J. and Winnie Norwood Trivette. In addition to his parents, Carson was
preceded in death by his wife, Texie Mae (Moody) Trivette, one son, Lewis
Grandville Trivette; one grandson, Dwayne Edward Barker; one son-in-law,
Joseph Edward Barker; and by one sister and three brothers.

Carson loved to read and study genealogy. He was a farmer and merchant and
served in the United States Army Battery "A" of the 41st Coast Artillery in
the Hawaiian Islands.

Carson is survived by one son, Carl D. Trivette and wife Dora Lee Trivette,
Butler; one daughter, Joyce M. (Trivette) Barker, Bristol; one brother, Allen
Trivette, Elk Park, N.C.; four grandsons, Johnny Barker, Eric Trivette,
Michael Trivette and Mark Trivette; two granddaughters, Angelia Seatz and
Patricia Dillard; and 12 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also
survive.

Funeral services for Carson will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 22,
from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Quincy Norris officiating.
Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday,
March 23, in the Trivette Family Cemetery (Dry Hill Community). Active
pallbearers will be Johnny Barker, Jason Seatz, Justin Seatz, Eric Trivette,
Mark Trivette and Michael Trivette. Honorary pallbearers will be John Arnold,
Ronnie Trivette, Charlie Trivette and members of the Johnson County Rescue
Squad. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, prior to the services. At other times, friends may call at the
residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
