Vest Mrs. Maude P. Vest, 85, 612 East Maple Street, Johnson City, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at the residence of her son, Eddie Roger Vest. Mrs. Vest was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late John and Bernie Johnson Potter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Raymond Vest Sr., in 1976. Mrs. Vest was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include two other sons, Ernest Raymond Vest Jr., Johnson City, and William Potter, Elizabethton; a daughter, Wanda Sue Vanover, Elizabethton; and a brother, Jack Potter, Piney Flats. Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. VEST -- Graveside services for Mrs. Maude P. Vest, 85, 612 East Maple Street, Johnson City, who died Sunday, June 11, 2000, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Will Mottern Cemetery with Rev. Doug Ranshaw officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from friends attending the service. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
