CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Mary Ellen McCloud Vines, 18 Jul 2005 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Mary Ellen McCloud Vines, 77, Chambers Drive, Elizabethton, died Monday, July 18, 2005, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Mrs. Vines was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Walter P. and Lillie Oliveen McQueen McCloud. Mrs. Vines was a 1945 graduate of Hampton High School and attended Steed College. She was an Avon Sales Representative and a member of C. Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Lee Glenn Vines; a daughter and son-in-law, Grace E. and Darrell Richardson, Winston-Salem, N.C.; four sons and daughters- in-law, Robert Lee and Amparo Vines, St. Petersburg, Fla., David Lynn and Kathy Vines, Winston-Salem, N.C., Thomas Richard and Terri Vines, Springfield, Ohio, and Jeffery Allen and Cathy Vines, Social Circle, Ga.; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Hannah Lou Blevins, Pontiac, Mich., Linda Jo Hall, Clarkston, Mich., Rachel Phipps, Elizabethton, and Angelee White, Gray; three brothers, Miles E. McCloud and Nathaniel "Tom" McCloud, both of Elizabethton, and Walter Lanton McCloud, Sumter, S.C.; one uncle, Robert McCloud, Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Vines will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Roby Ellis and Ed DeVault officiating. Music will be provided by the congregation of C. Street Church of Christ. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral chapel at 10:15 a.m. Friday, will be Arlie Vaughn, Dennis Pierce, Jason Vines, Jonathan Vines, Daniel Vines and Donald McCloud. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. Friends may also call at the residence at anytime. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to Dr. James Shipley and the Staff of Life Care Center.
