Peggy B. Williams 





    Peggy B. Williams, 70, Hillview Nursing Home, Elizabethton, died Thursday, 

March 15, 2007, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. 





    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and 

Edell Menton Pierce. 





    Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of the First Free Will Baptist 

Church. 





    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her 

husband, Mark Williams, and a son, Darrell. 





    Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry Williams and Mike 

and Darlene Williams, all of Elizabethton; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and 

Keith Brown of Hickory, N.C.; four grandchildren and three great-

grandchildren; four sisters, Janice Gentry, Rita Gentry and Sandra Richardson, 

all of Elizabethton, and Debra Blevins of Johnson City; and three brothers, 

Gene Pierce of Morristown, Gary Pierce of Bristol and Lowell Pierce of 

Elizabethton. Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive. 





    Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, 

March 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray Colbaugh officiating. 

Music will be provided by Dennis Laws. Graveside services and interment will 

be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, in the Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will 

be nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the 

funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 

a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery. Online condolences to the Williams family
