Hazel A. Watson, 76, South Taylor Avenue, Baltimore, Md., 
died unexpectedly Monday, March 22, 2004, at St. Joseph's 
Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
Mrs. Watson was a native of Carter County and the daughter of 
the late George and Kate Hubbard McKinney. She was also preceded 
in death by her husband, Robert M. Watson, two brothers, William 
McKinney and Otis McKinney, and a sister, Negetha Townsend. 
Mrs. Watson was of the Baptist faith. She was a dental assistant. 
Survivors include two sisters, Geraldine Smith, Elizabethton, and 
Shirley Cole, Johnson City; a brother, Basil McKinney, Jonesborough; 
and a dear friend, Theodore S. Kolodziejski, Baltimore, Md. Several 
nieces and nephews also survive. 
The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 
in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. C.W. 
Snodgrass officiating. Music will be under the direction of Sonny 
Gouge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 
to 8 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service. Friends may also 
call at the home of a sister, Shirley Cole, 1661 Powder Branch Road, 
Johnson City, any time. The graveside service and interment will be 
conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. 
Active pallbearers will be Ray Smith, Carl Moore, Gary Townsend, 
Jimmy Cole and Ted Kolodziejski. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce 
Hill, Dayton Pate and C.L. Perkins Jr. Those who plan to attend the 
graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. 
Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Online condolences may be
