Webb Vernon L. Webb, 70, 511-1/2 Johnson Avenue, Elizabethton, died Sunday, December 9, 2001, at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Webb was a native of Watauga and a son of the late Arlie D. and Naomi O'Quinn Webb. Mr. Webb was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired pipefitter with Daniels Construction Company. Survivors include his wife, Anna Belle Webb, of the home; a son, Tony Webb, Johnson City; four daughters, Lynne Malone, Elizabethton, Debra Webb, Johnson City, Annette Smith, Chattanooga, and Robin Wiggins, Raleigh, N.C.; a brother, A.W. "Bud" Webb, Elizabethton; and two sisters, Linda Harris, Elizabethton, and Geraldine Knight, Raleigh, N.C. Two step-daughters, nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, three step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
