Ora E. White

   Mrs. Ora E. White, 81, Tiger Creek Road, Roan Mountain, died 
Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, in Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an 
extended illness.
   A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James 
Wesley and Flossie White Estep. She was a nursing home volunteer.
   Mrs. White was a member of the Little Mountain Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse D. White, in 1984; 
by a son, Sammy White, July 2, 1999; and by one brother and two 
sisters.
   Survivors include a grandson and his wife: Jay D. and Kim White, 
Murrell's Inlet, South Carolina; one great granddaughter: Kristin 
White; three sisters: Hazel Jackson, Kingsport; Joyce Deloach, 
Levittown, Pa., and Iva Holder, Hampton; one brother, Carl Dean Estep, 
Hampton; several nieces and nephews.
   It was her wish to be cremated and no services are planned.
   Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge.
