Stanley J. Whitehead

   Stanley Jack Whitehead, 73, of Mishawaka, Ind., died Wednesday, 
January 3, 2001, at his residence after an extended illness.
   Mr. Whitehead was a native of Carter County and a son of the late 
Ernest and Hettie Largent Whitehead. He was also preceded in death by 
a brother, Carl Whitehead.
   Mr. Whitehead had lived in Indiana for a number of years.
   Survivors include a daughter, Betty, of Mishawaka, Ind.; a sister, 
JoRita Bough, of California; and several cousins and friends of Carter 
County and Pensacola, Fla.
   Burial was Saturday in Mishawaka.
