Wilson 4/18/00 Mrs. Helen H. Wilson, 80, 323 Marshall Court, Johnson City, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Wilson was a native and had lived most of her life in Carter County, and was a former resident of Pensacola, Fla. She was a daughter of the late Robert Decker and Mattie Brumit Hyder. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Debbie Buckles, Elizabethton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Roberta and Bob Hughes, Elizabethton, and Lisa and Don Bailes, Johnson City; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Corrine and J.D. Phillips, Elizabethton; her ex-husband, John B. Wilson, Pensacola, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Shane Buckles, Donna McKinney, Kim Eggers, Bobbie Jo Hardin, Wendy Riddle and Nichole LeConte. Five great-grandchildren and a nephew also survive. Wilson, 80, 323 Marshall Court, Johnson City, who died Sunday, April 16, 2000, will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, with Rev. Dwight Kilboure, Rev. W.D. Garman and Rev. Anthony Mills officiating. Music will be by David Estep, organist, Carol Shrum, cellist, and Kim Lundin, soloist. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 20, in the Highland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Shane Buckles, Lanny Eggers, Steve "Pink" McKinney, Darrell Hardin, Tim Riddle and Nicholas Cearley. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Webb, J.D. Phillips, Charles Hyder, Phil Hyder, James Wilcox, Harry Wilcox, Bill Smithy, Roy Renfro, Bob Renfro, Allen Renfro, members of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and the Bykota Sunday School Class. To those who desire, memorials may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 3205 CRS, Johnson City, Tenn. 37601. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residences of her daughters any time. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
