CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Shelby Jean Wilson, 6 May 2004

Shelby Jean Wilson, Siam Rd., Elizabethton, died Thursday, 
May 6, 2004 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Denver 
and Victoria Hodge Moretz.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Siam Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph J. Wilson; her extended family, 
Ann Mullins, Mountain City; Carol Ann Johnson, Hampton; Chris Mullins, 
Mountain City, and Alex Yates, Hampton; two sisters, Ivalee Sheron, 
Mountain City Care Center and Neil Watson, Hampton; a brother, Charles 
Moretz, Evansville, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2004 in 
Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Roddy and Rev. Willis 
Lunsford officiating. Burial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, 
May 9, 2004 in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Mr. 
Bill Anderson will provide the music. Active pallbearers, who are requested 
to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, will be Aubrey Brown, 
Kenneth Rainbolt, Jack Ingram, John Rednour, Doug Nave and Doug Bailey. 
Honorary pallbearers will be employees and retirees of Inland Container, 
the Transportation Department of the Carter County School System and her 
church family. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday 
in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and 
friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday to go to
