Winters 07/08/99 Casey McKinley Winters, 75, 119 Bowers Street, Johnson City, died Tuesday, July 6, 1999, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Mr. Winters was a native of Carter County and the son of the late James and Sally Hayes Winters. He was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Mr. Winters was retired from North American Rayon Corporation and was a Central Community Volunteer Fireman. He was of the Christian faith. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Winters, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Laura Winters, Jonesborough, and Wade and Ronda Winters, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Bradley Winters, Kingsport, and Mikayla and Shayna Winters, both of Jonesborough; two brothers, Ralph Winters, Roan Mountain, and Emmett Winters, Adrian, Mich.; and a sister, Crystal Cordell, Elizabethton. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. WINTERS -- Funeral services for Casey McKinley Winters, 75, 119 Bowers Street, Johnson City, who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Mr. Hugh Hatfield and Mr. Mark Smith, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Tammy Black. Graveside services and interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Bradley Winters, Austin Winters, Calvin Winters, Matthew Arnett and Allen Blevins. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Silvers, John Lewis, J.D. Cannon, Lawrence Tester, Cliff Gugin, Roy Wright, Merle Grindstaff, Dr. Guy Robbins and members of the Central Volunteer Fire Department. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:25 a.m. Friday for the graveside services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence any time. For those who prefer, memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Central Volunteer Fire Department. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
