A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late David and Julia Perry Ellis. Mrs. Winters had lived in Elk Park most of her life. She was a member of Elk Park Christian Church. Survivors include four sons: Randolph, Audie, Clint and Jason Winters, all of Elk Park, N.C.; three sisters: Lessie Turbyfill, Roan Mountain; and Martha Young and Clara Heaton, both of Elizabethton; three brothers: Charles Ellis, Elk Park, N.C.; Lester Ellis, Marietta, Ga.; and Frank Ellis, Westminister, Md.; and several nices and nephews. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. WINTERS -- Funeral services for Elizabeth "Bet" Winters, 63, 231 Iron St., Elk Park, N.C., who died Thursday, will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 1999, at Elk Park Christian Church with Mr. Jim Greene and Mr. Jamie Shell, ministers, officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 9:00 am. Sunday, August 1, 1999, at Perry Cemetery in Roan Mountain with Mr. James Heaton officiating. Active pallbearers will be sons and brothers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Alfred Earwood, men of Elk Park Christian Church and friends and neighbors. Everyone will meet at 8:55 a.m. Sunday at the cemetery for the graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday evening at Elk Park Christian Church or at the home of a brother, Charles Ellis, 869 Little Elk Rd., Elk Park, N.C., any time. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
