Bessie D. Winters

   Bessie Dugger Winters, 95, 120 Flora Dugger Road, Elizabethton, died 
Friday, July 19, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, following an extended 
illness.
   A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and 
Amanda Nidiffer Dugger. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.H. 
Winters, a son, Kenneth Ray Winters, a grandson, Justin Sams, and a 
daughter-in-law, Shirley Winters.
   Mrs. Winters was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church.
   Survivors include four daughters and one son-in-law, Miss Judy Winters, 
of the home, Pearl and Ralph Fletcher, Charlotte Nave and Norma Smith, 
all of Elizabethton, two sons, Roscoe Winters, of the home, and Robert 
Winters, Elizabethton, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one 
great-great granddaughter.

   WINTERS -- Funeral services for Bessie Dugger Winters, 95, 120 Flora 
Dugger Road, Elizabethton, who died Friday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. 
Monday, July 22, 2002, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, 
with the Revs. Bill Duncan and Kenneth Kyker officiating. Graveside 
service and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in 
the Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from 
family and friends. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, 
July 23, 2002, for the graveside service. The family will receive friends 
from 7-8 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2002, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick 
Funeral Home or at the residence at any time, or friends may call at the 
residence of a daughter, Charlotte Nave, 193 Earl Williams Road. Those who 
prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the American 
Diabetes Association, 4004 Hillsboro Avenue, Suite B-216, Nashville, TN 37215.
