Williams 07/23/99 Mrs. Carrie Mae "Granny" Berry Williams, 79, 186 Little Stoney Creek Road, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at the residence of a daughter, Claudette Henson, 1644 Siam Road, Elizabethton, after an extended illness. Mrs. Williams was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Jim Maynard and Mary Jane Bowers Berry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Williams, a daughter, two sons, a grandson, three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Williams was a member of Borderview Christian Church and the "Golden Oldies" of the church. Survivors, in addition to Ms. Henson, include two other daughters, Ann Wright, Orlando, Fla., and Brenda Williams, Elizabethton; a son, Larry Williams, Elizabethton; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; an Honorary daughter, Margaret Parker; an Honorary son, Bud Parker; two Honorary grandchildren and four Honorary great-grandchildren. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. WILLIAMS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Mae "Granny" Berry Williams, 79, 186 Little Stoney Creek Road, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Dave Wolfe, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by Ray Don Markland, soloist, The Narrow Road Quartet and Scott Reynolds, organist. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family, The "Golden Oldies," friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter, Brenda Williams, 186 Little Stoney Creek Road, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
