Williams 04/22/99 Mrs. Beatrice V. "Bea" Williams, 91, 1100 Lynndale Drive, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Williams was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Robert H. and Addie Mae Vaught Sheffield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Williams, in 1983, a son, Robert Mitchell, in 1956, and a daughter, Ettalee Lockington, in 1988. Mrs. Williams was a former resident of Piney Flats and Lima, Ohio. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, David M. Mitchell, Nashville, Billy Joe Mitchell, Elizabethton, and Thomas A. Mitchell, Panama City, Fla.; a daughter, Betty Jean Broyles, Elizabethton; two sisters, Flora Hale, Greenville, S.C., and Beulah Crowell, Fayetteville, N.C.; and special friends, Ruth Miller and Flo Barnett, both of Elizabethton. Six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. WILLIAMS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice V. "Bea" Williams, 91, 1100 Lynndale Drive, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, with Rev. Joe Sorah and Dr. Ray Sorrells officiating. Music will be by Carolyn Sheffield, organist. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Pleasant, Clarence Sheffield, Gary Wayne Sheffield, Richard Tittle, Jimmy Crowell, Jack Miller, Bill Miller, Roy Childers, Paul Stout, Albert Hyder and Steve Vanhoy. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
