Williams Mrs. Sarah Rebecca Mae Holtsclaw Williams, 98, 9 North Lynncrest Drive, Chattanooga, formerly of Courtyard Apartments, Elizabethton, died Friday, November 10, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Cookeville. Mrs. Williams was a native of Roan Mountain and a daughter of the late James and Polly Caroline Julian Holtsclaw. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Williams, and by four sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Williams had lived in Chattanooga for the past six years. She attended the Roan Mountain Holiness Church and the Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Survivors include three daughters, Martha E. Hopson, Elizabethton, Margaret Hatcher Dudney, Chattanooga (with whom she had made her home), and Edna Lee Wise, Akron, Ohio; a brother, Beecher Holtsclaw, Roan Mountain; six grandchildren, Patricia Terry, Pulaski, Greta Riddle, Morristown, Judy Korska, Barberton, Ohio, Dr. Tina Dudney McCormick, Cookeville, and Dr. Victor Hopson, Elizabethton; six stepgrandchildren, Carleen Sillman and William Ashley, both of Elizabethton, Charles Mohr and Jamie Mohr, both of Blairsville, Ark., Julie Mohr and Robert Mohr, both of Chicago; and a special friend, Julie Miller, and other friends at Courtyard Apartments. Nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great- grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, 14 step-great-great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. WILLIAMS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Rebecca Mae Holtsclaw Williams, 98, 9 North Lynncrest Drive, Chattanooga, formerly of Courtyard Apartments, Elizabethton, who died Friday, November 10, 2000, will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 12, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Julian officiating. Mrs. Pat Julian and great-grandson Harold Riddle will provide the music. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 13, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter, Martha E. Hopson, 121 Treadway Street, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Monday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
