Williams Grady G. Williams, 75, Roan Highlands Nursing Center, Roan Mountain, formerly of Stoney Creek, died Monday, January 15, 2001, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Williams was a native of Carter County and the son of the late William and Mattie Lyons Williams. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Arnold and Goldie Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Rosa Stout, Elizabethton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roby and June Williams and Jasper and Marvella Williams, all of Elizabethton; and a special niece, Judy Veeneman, Elizabethton. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Williams, 75, Roan Highlands Nursing Center, Roan Mountain, formerly of Stoney Creek, who died Monday, January 15, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Grubb and the Rev. Eric Heaton officiating. Music will be under the direction of Dale Williams and Mrs. Sue Bowers. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Dallas Williams, Dale Williams, Kent Williams, Douglas Williams, Ron Stout, Rodney Arnold, Gary Arnold and Harold Lynn Arnold. Special thanks to the caretakers of Sycamore Shoals Hospital and Roan Highlands Nursing Center. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a brother, Jasper Williams, 143 Howard Lipford Drive, Elizabethton, at any time.
