Edwin Williams

NASHVILLE -- Edwin Williams, 85, of Nashville, died Thursday, 
August 1, 2002.
Mr. Williams was a native of Elizabethton and a son of the late T.H. 
and Maggie Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, 
Anneliese Williams.
Mr. Williams was a veteran of World War II and a lifelong member of 
the Music City Beagle Club. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1962 and 
from the State of Tennessee in 1981.
Survivors include four daughters, Maggie Mason, Smyrna, Sue Cook, 
Elizabethton, Barbara Latham, Hopkinsville, Ky., and Nell Mischke, 
Lehigh Acres, Fla.; and two sons, Rainer Soehnen, Merced, Calif., 
and P.I. Williams, Elizabethton. Numerous grandchildren and great-
grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services and interment were held Saturday, August 3, in 
Nashville.
Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Nashville, (615) 383-4754, 
was in charge of arrangements.
