CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Darrell B. Williams, 2 Dec 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Our precious dad and husband, Darrell B. Williams, age 76, Betsy Kay Drive, Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 2, 2004, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was the son of the late Caleb and Victoria Grace Pierce. He was a native of Possum Hollow, Carter County. He was a retired plumber and a member of Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church. He always had a smile and never met a stranger and always loved to talk about the "old days". He was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Lee Lewis. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Ola Pearl Williams; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Jena Williams, Elizabethton, and Johnny and Linda Richardson, Elizabethton; two daughters, Brenda and Debbie Williams, of the home; three grandchildren, Michael and spouse, Mary Richardson, Elizabethton, Chris Richardson, Elizabethton, and two-month-old infant, Isaiah Williams, who loved to sit on his papaw's knee, Elizabethton; two great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Jesse Richardson, Elizabethton; four sisters, Ruby Wilson, Louella Pierce, Rhina Brewster, and Sarah Pierce; several nieces and nephews; and a special aunt, Beatrice Williams. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Edd Davis officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Carden Family. Interment will follow the funeral service in Pearl Bowers Cemetery, Blue Springs community. Active pallbearers will be Stanley Carden, Arthur Carden, Lockett Carden, Chris Richardson, Michael Richardson and Dana Carden. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Putman, J.N. Taylor, Willie Campbell, Floyd Richardson, Brian Carden and Stacy Townsend. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, prior to the funeral service.
