CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Jerry Mack Williams, 12 Mar 2005 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Jerry Mack Williams, 70, Mill Pond Road, Elizabethton, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Williams was a native of Carter County and a son of the late George and Beatrice Ellis Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Williams. Mr. Williams was a retired nurse from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Williams, of the home; two daughters, Regina Bowers, Elizabethton, and Lisa Davis, Hampton; two sons, Danny Williams, Kingsport, and Lynn Williams, Eulis, Texas; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn Williams and Shelby Williams, both of Elizabethton; a sister, Carolyn Pate, Johnson City; and a special granddaughter, Shonda Davis, Hampton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Mr. Jason Burchfield, minister, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided. Active pallbearers will be friends and the men of Valley Forge Christian Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Estep, Lynn Estep, Ross Potter, Arvel Pate, D.H. Hampton, Dr. Robert Walter, Jim Davis, Milburn Ellis and a special friend, Bill Jones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service, To those who desire, memorials may be made to the Valley Forge Christian Church, 114 Valley Forge Christian Church Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
