D.C. Williams, 72, Hillview Drive, Elizabethton, died Sunday, July 17, 2005,
at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. 

Mr. Williams was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Andrew and
Emma Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two
sisters, Goldie Williams and Jane Perry, and an infant brother. 

Mr. Williams was of the Baptist faith and was a retired farmer. Survivors
include two brothers, Ernie Williams and Preston Williams, both of
Elizabethton; two sisters, Pauline Oliver and Ida Smith, both of Elizabethton;
and a nephew, Frederick Brewster, Elizabethton. Several other nephews and
nieces also survive. 

The graveside service for Mr. Williams will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
July 20, in the Buckles Cemetery with Rev. Clate Briggs officiating. Active
pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive
friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Online
