CARTER COUNTY, TN - WILLS - James P. Collins, 27 Feb 1890 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Washington, D.C. Feb 27, 1890 I, Geo L. Peoples at the request of James P. Collins who is now very low and thinks he will never recover, write the following in behalf of his wife Jane Collins and the three children Emily P. Collins, Maggie J. Collins, Gilson O. Collins, it is my will and request that my wife Jane Collins shall have full control of my farm this lifetime and at her death to be divided equally among my three children and not to be sold while they are twenty one years of age. Said farm is located in the Seventh Civil District of Carter Co. State of Tenn. Allso another tract of land containing ten acres bought of L.T. Bowers in same district known as the Smith Land which I have not paid for. It shall be sold by my wife and settle the balance which is one hundred dollars and all over that amt for my wife to use for the maintenance of my family. This 27th Day of Feb 1890. J.P.
