CHESTER COUNTY, TN - CEMETERIES - Hurt Cemetery ========================================================================= David Donahue, the creator of this file, declares it to be in the public domain. ========================================================================= HURT CEMETERY Chester County Hurt Cemetery is an interesting nineteenth cemetery near the Jack's Creek Community of Chester County. Especially notable is the large number of original carved markers from the 1850, a time before carved markers came into widespread use in this part of West Tennessee. David Donahue recorded this cemetery November 20, 1999. The cemetery was recorded previously by Lewis P. Jones and appears in his Cemeteries of Chester County (White Printing Co., Henderson, Tennessee, 1982), pp. 49-50. This is referred to as "Jones" in the notes below. Barton, Eugene C.
