COCKE COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Irma Garland Bailey Boys, 29 Nov 2004

NEWPORT, TN - Irma Garland Bailey Boys, 71, born in Bakersville, 
died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004 at the Baptist Convalescent Center. She 
was the daughter of the late Jeter and Beulah Bowman Garland; and 
wife of the late Ted K. Bailey and the late Roger Boys. She was a 
lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She taught school in 
the Sullivan County School System.

Survivors include daughters, Carol Johnson of Newport, and Kimberly 
Kerce of Flowery Branch, GA; a son, Ted (Kyle) Bailey Jr. of Greer, 
SC; a sister, June Lentz of Spruce Pine; three step-daughters, Barbara 
Boys Hale, Kathy Boys and Leesa Boys Head; and three grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist 
Church of Newport. Burial followed in Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. The 
family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home in 
Newport.
