Smith and Ora S. Taylor, Manchester, Tennessee. The transcription approximates the order of the 1937 survey which may indicate relationship of graves to each other. No attempt has been made to alphabetize or otherwise alter the record of the original survey except where obvious errors or proofreader’s marks exist and such is noted within brackets. The only additional information that is added by the transcriber is for the BAILEY graves and indicated within brackets. Some modern surveys do not show the existence of some graves that were recorded in 1937, possibly because of subsequent surveyor error or oversight or the destruction or removal of some tombstones over time. The introductory narrative to the 1937 WPA survey states: "Located 12 miles South East of Manchester, four miles south of Hillsboro on the Hillsboro Winchester road. The Miller’s Baptist Church with the Cemetery in the Church yard stands on a wooded hill on the east side of the road. They received their name from the Miller family, some of whom still live near the church. This was the early home of the Millers, Oakleys and Newmans, Members of the Baptist Church. The Church and Cemetery are very old. A number of very old graves have no markers. There is a total of 35 unmarked graves."
