Bryan I do hereby give transfer and convey to her a tract of land in Coffee County Tennessee district number nine containing by estimation two hundred and sixty five acres and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a stake in William Martins line on the Short Mountain Road ?????? poles South of his and Samuel Ramseys corner small black oak thence N 3/ ? W 152 poles to a stake and ??????? thence N 6 West 35.5 poles to a small black oak thence W 87 W?81 poles to a stake and ???????? two poles East ????? Oak (the rest of this line unreadable) to a stake and pointers thence S 88 E 140 poles to a post oak thence N 2 E 175 poles to a Post Samuel Laines? corner thence South 88 East 110/poles to a stake and pointer also said Laines? corner thence S 2 1/2 W 76 poles to a black oak thence S 88 W 20.5 poles to a Black oak the North west corner of David Ross five thousand acre tract thence S3 E 220 poles to the beginning. Received of my father Alexander Powell one thousand and sixty dollars the estimated value of the above recited? tract of land and being an advancement to me towards my interest in his estate. To have and to hold the same to the said Nancy M. Bryan her heirs and assigns forever I warrant and agree for my self and heirs to warrant and defend the title to the said tract of land to the said Nancy M. Bryan her heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever.
