I received your letter the 4th of this month, which I was glad to hear from you and family that you are all well and our friends. Though very sorry to hear that brother-in-law is dead and sister and children scattered. I would be glad to see them and all of my friends, and I am very glad to think that you haven't entirely forgot to write to me. This is the first letter that I have had from you in several years. I wrote to you and brother Joseph as soon as I got home, and you never wrote to me until now. Brother, I want you to write to me often and state to me how all are getting along and how Abner and David are winding up the state. Abner wrote to me the same time and said in his letter that he wanted me to come and pay up. I want to know if they have sold the land and fixed up all of the rest of the business and state to me all about it. I want to do what is right and you ment tell the rest that I wrote this to you and I will come up there next fall if I can. So my wife and children send their love toyou all. Tell Brother Joseph if he can't write, he can get someone to write to me. So I would be glad to hear from you at any time.
