Francis Hewitt Ragsdale, son of Dionysius M. & Sarah Almeda (Haile) Ragsdale.  
born July 15, 1826 in then Bedford Co, TN, died in the Battle of Franklin, TN 
about 70 miles from here on Nov 30, 1864.  His widow Eliza Louisa (Howard) married 
on Feb 13, 1866 in Coffee Co, TN p.66 to Joseph "Joe" L. Lowrey (sometimes spelled 
Lowery).  They had one son Fielding A. Lowrey. (to be submitted)
F. H. "Francis" and Eliza had 4 children: Fanny Laura, Dionicus (died young), 
William Edward "Willy" and Francis H. "Frank".  Family went to Texas.
