Will of Sanford Berry 25 Aug 1836 Coffee County, TN

Will first issued to probate during the Jan Term in Coffee Co., TN in 1836

The last will and testament of the testor Sanford Berry of Coffee County,
Tennessee, this the day of 25th of August 1836 of our Lord, in which I 
commend my spirit to God that gave it life, and my body to the earth from
which it came.  (1) I desire my just debts be paid;  (2) I will to my 
daughter, ANNIE(or Annice) KELTON heir and equal share with my legatees.
(3) I will that my son, WILLIAM BERRY have an equal share with my 
legatees with the exception of two hundred dollars he secured in a Negro 
man called Mingo.  (4) I will that my daughter SARAH HUNTER, have an equal
share with my legatees, with the exception of fifty dollars which she 
received in cash.  (5) I will that my daughter CHRISTINA DAVIS have an 
equal share with my legatees.  (6) I will that my son EDWARD BERRY have 
an equal share with my legatees with exception of one hundred dollars 
which he has received.  (7)  I will that my son SAMUEL BERRY have an 
equal share with my legatees.  (8)  I will that my son JOHN BERRY have 
an equal share with my legatees.  (9)  I will that my daughter NAOMIE
(Nancie) FRAZIER have an equal share with my legatees  with the exception
of three hundred dollars which she received a Negro woman.  (10)  I will
that my daughter MARGARET CARDEN, have an equal share with my legatees.  
(11)  I will that my son JOSAIH BERRY have an equal share with my 
legatees.  (12)  I will that my daughter, ELIZABETH JONES, have no divide
with my legatees, she having received the amount of eight hundred dollars
in Negro property given by deed of gift.

And I do hereby nominate and appoint my sons, JOHN and JOSIAH my executor 
to this my last will and testament to dispose of my personal property 
lands by public sale or otherwise as may be thought expedient.  
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the 
day and date first above written.
