LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of JOSEPH BURR BRYAN I, JOSEPH BURR BRYAN, of Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking any and all testamentary dispositions by me heretofore made. ARTICLE I I direct that my just debts and the expenses of my last illness and funeral be paid first. ARTICLE II I hereby declare that I have only two (2) children, they being a son, Herbert W. Bryan, and a son, Marcus Howard Bryan; and I further declare that the child named and known as Joseph Burr Bryan, Jr., who was born to my former wife, Jennie L. Bryan, is not my son even though he was born during my marriage to her, the date of his birth having been November 5, 1953, a few weeks after my said marriage to her on September 27, 1953. Even though a court of competent jurisdiction might hereafter adjudge the said Joseph Burr Bryan, Jr. to be my son, I do not wish to leave him any part of my estate. ARTICLE III All of my estate remaining after payment of my just debts and the expenses of my lst illness and funeral, whether real, personal or mixed, of whatsoever the same may consist and wherever the same may be situated, I give, devise and bequeath unto my sister, Lucy E. Bryan, if she survives me. ARTICLE IV If my sister, Lucy E Bryan, predeceases me, then I give, devise and bequeath my estate in equal shares to my two sons hereinbefore referred to if both survive me. ARTICLE V If one of my sons hereinbefore referred to predeceases me and only one sone survives me, then I give devise and bequeath one-half of my said estate unto my surviving son and the remainder in equal shares to the then surviving children of the son who does not survive me. ARTICLE VI If both of my sons hereinbefore referred to predecease me, then I give, devise and bequeath my said estate in equal shares, per capita, to my then surviving grandchildren. ARTICLE VII I hereby name, nominate, constitute and appoint my son, Marcus Howard Bryan, as Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, and request and direct that no bond be required of him to act in such capacity. ARTICLE VIII I request my Executor hereinbefore named to employ Len L. Balke, attorney at law, if he be then available and engaged in the practice of law in Jackson County, Missouri, as counselor and attorney to represent my Executor and my estate in connection with the administration thereof.
