Only original in Coffee Co., Tn. loose papers in Court House. I Stephen Elliott, Sen. do hereby certify that it is my wish and desire that the following notes (viz) one on J.W. & W.L. Scott for four hundred and forty dollars in American gold bearing date March 6th. 1861, with 2 credits, the first for twenty dollars dated 6th. Jan. 1862, also a note for four hundred dollars on Willis Blanton & C.C. Brewer security dated April 2nd. 1860. And one note on Alexander Harp for one hundred dollars it being signed by Alexander Harp and T.H. Powers. When they are collected, my five children living in the State of Arkansas (viz) Henry Elliott, Malinda Bickle, Monroe Elliott, Elizabeth Eoff and Izabella Eoff have five hundred dollars out of the proceeds of said notes to make them up each the amount that my son Stephen Elliott, Jun. has already received and the five hundred dollars to be divided in the following manner, Henry Elliott to have fifty dollars and the remaining four hundred & fifty dollars to be equally divided among the other four.
