This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Carol Norville Berning berningc@worldnet.att.net ==================================================================== Permenter/McMillan Guardian Bond From Untitled Record Book Haywood County Transcribed by Carol Norville Berning berningc@worldnet.att.net Know all men by these presents that we Sarah Parmenter and Archibald McMillian all of the County of Haywood and State of Tennessee are held and firmly bound unto the State of Tennessee in the sum of Four hundred dollars in trust for use and benefit of minor children hereinafter named who have committed to the care and tuition of the said Sarah Parmenter. For which payment well and truly to be made we hereby bind ourselves and heirs executors and administrators jointly and severally and firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 4th day of May 1852. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Sarah Permenter was this day constituted and appointed guardian to Neill M., Elizabeth. Ruffin G., George W., and James Permenter minor orphans of Ruffin G. Permenter, deceased, late of said county. Now if the said Sarah Permenter shall faithfully execute her guardianship by securing and improving the estate of the said minor children until they become of lawfull age and shall at the next term of the county court to be holden for said county exhibit upon oath an account of all the estate of said minor child which he shall have received into his hand, possession, or knowledge and shall also and duly hereafter account for and exhibit to the Justice of the said county court of said county the state of the profits and disbursements of the estate of said minor children and shall also account for all property monies and means which may hereafter come into his hands possession or knowledge by virtue of his appointment and shall when become of lawful age pay over all of said estate and the increase and profits thereof to the said minor children as he is required by the laws of said State to do then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
