Barnes (Husband and Wife) --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Bill Henry Barnes Sr. March 5, 1912-Nov. 28, 2000 Bill Henry Barnes Sr. , 88, of Crossville, passed away Nov. 28, 2000. Mr. Barnes passed away at Cumberland Medical Center in Cumberland County, TN. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 1 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Ben Whittenbarger officiated, with special music by Charles Barnes. Pallbearers were Charles Brendel, Bob Brendel, John Barnes, Jim Barnes, Mike Key and Scottie Farley. Mr. Barnes , the son of Henry Lee and Susie Elizabeth Bane Barnes. Mr. Barnes was born March 5, 1912, in Roane County, TN. He was a steel mill worker for Roane Furnace, he was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife, Edith Davis Barnes of Crossville; daughters, Chrystal Jackson of Ringgold, GA, and Ann Brendel and Jewell Brendel, both of Crossville; sons, Bill H. Barnes Jr. of Tunnel Hill, GA, and Charles Barnes and Archie Barnes, both of Crossville; brother, Robert Barnes of Rockwood, TN; sister, Anna Honeycutt of Rockwood; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Edith M. Barnes Aug. 31, 1919-July 24, 2002 Edith Marie Barnes, 82, of Crossville, TN. passed away July 24, 2002. Funeral services were conducted 27July 2002, from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, TN. Bro. Ben Whittenbarger officiated. Mrs. Barnes, the daughter of Charles Thomas and Mary Ann Hinds Davis. Mrs. Barnes was born Aug. 31, 1919, in Roane County, TN, She was of the Baptist Faith and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Henry Barnes Sr. Survivors include her daughters, Chrystal Jackson of Ringgold, GA, and Ann Brendel and Jewell Brendel, both of Crossville; sons, Bill H. Barnes Jr. of Tunnel Hill, GA, and Charles Barnes and Archie Barnes, both of Crossville; sister, Robbie Creech of Chattanooga; 19 grandchildren; 38 great- grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Michael Key, Robert Bowling, Jim Barnes, John Barnes, Bob Brendel, Charles Brendel and Bobby Key.
