Funeral services were conducted March 1,2004, at Homestead United 
Methodist Church,for John C. Bristow, 80, of Crossville,TN., who passed 
away Feb. 27, 2004.
Burial in Old Baptist Cemetery in Grassy Cove.
The Rev. Fay Tucker and the Rev. J.D. Spencer officiated.
Pallbearers were John Bristow, Brook Bristow, Christopher Miller, Calvin 
Kemmer, Jon Goodwin and Herthel Hall.
Mr. Bristow was born March 2, 1923 in Cumberland County,TN., the son 
of Austin and Vada Knox Bristow.
He was a retired merchant and a member of Homestead United Methodist 
Church. 
He was a former member and chairman of the Cumberland County Board 
of Education, former member and chairman of ASC and taught Sunday 
school for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Bristow of Crossville;,TN.,sons and 
daughters-in-law, Tom and Margie Bristow of Crossville,TN., and Larry and 
Beth Bristow of Atlanta, GA; brother, Mose Bristow of Crossville,TN., sisters, 
Evelyn Cummings of Erlanger, KY and Ruby Clark of Orlando, FL; five grand-
children; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to Homestead 
United Methodist Church's building fund.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC was in charge of the arrangements.
